FeatureClusters is a visualization tool for viewing associations between words, based on commonalities in the feature sets of the words. This is illustrated using a force-directed graph, wherein each word is a node in the graph. Nodes are connected to one another if they share the same feature. Features are represented by the smaller circles (or petals) which surround each word. Moving your mouse over a word will show the feature details associated with that word. Clicking on a word will highlight its connections to other words.

This looks very interesting and I would love to try it. But like rfd, I'm afraid I can't see how to input text, and I can't see either any help on the format the text might take.

Hello PWT T.,

Thank you for your feedback. We link to the tool's homepage and documentation wherever possible, but for tools like Voyant's FeatureClusters, we only have limited information.

I did some checking, and it appears that this tool is not currently available, likely owing to its experimental status. As such, we know a bit about it, but there is no tool homepage or documentation to link to yet.

That said, Voyant is a large family of tools and there may be another one that you would find similarly interesting, such as their Links, RezoViz or Mandala. You can browse all the Voyant tools in TAPoR on its family page:

http://www.tapor.ca/tools/filterbyattribute?att_val_id=36

If you'd like more information on how to use individual tools, click on the link provided under Documentation on its entry page. This will take you to Voyant's own documentation for that tool. You can also see all the documentation available at Voyant's own Tool Index page:

http://docs.voyant-tools.org/tools/

In addition, Voyant has a Getting Started tutorial for new users:

http://docs.voyant-tools.org/start/

I hope this helps. TAPoR 2.5 is an ongoing project, and we appreciate your feedback. If you have any other questions for us, I am monitoring the site's comments, or you can contact us directly at tapor@ualberta.ca
