MAXQDA is a commercial software package for facilitating qualitative and mixed methods research. It includes a graphical interface for organizing and categorizing data, and can import data in a wide variety of formats, including web formats, images, audio and video and spreadsheets. Data can be encoded in several ways, such as keywords, colours or symbols. It includes visualization and report generation.

MAXQDA also appears in Project Bamboo's DiRT, a registry of digital tools suitable for academic research.
