This tool aggregates texts/subtexts from different locations into a single text. The original texts can be from a user-specified web page or files located on one's computer. Aggregating subtexts requires all documents to share a common subtext tag, such as the <body> tag. The aggregator tool will grab the contents from the texts to form a single new text.

Aggregator (Other) is a free, simple to use web-based tool designed to run in a browser window. It is designed to aggregate text from multiple web addresses, either manually copied into the tool, or from a list stored in a file on the user’s local computer.

The text from a given web address will appear in the same order as the list of sources. Users may also include a document from their local computer in the aggregate. The tool has two options for handling markup: strip any XML or HTML tags from the texts, or smart strip tags to form an XML corpus. The latter option transforms non-XML texts into comments. The output formats available for this tool are HTML, XML Text in HTML, XML Tree and Plain Text.

This tool has only a few problems. When the plain text output is selected, the tool may not process some characters correctly; please see List Words (Plain Text) for examples. In addition, when the output is set to XML Tree, this tool frequently produces an XML parsing error.

Despite these issue, Aggregator (Other) is an effective way to aggregate several web documents.
