Pattern (CLiPS)

Pattern (CLiPS) is a web mining module for Python designed for computational linguistic and psycholinguistic research. It integrates tools for data retrieval from search engines, social media, web spiders and individual websites, and can accomplish text analysis, natural language processing and data visualization.

PC-KIMMO

PC-KIMMO is a tool for morphological parsing available since 1985. It is designed to generate and/or parse words, for use by computational linguists, descriptive linguists and others interested in natural language processing. Though this tool is no longer being actively developed, it is still available for download, as is its documentation.

FINNMORF

FINNMORF was a tool for generating full lexical paradigms for Finnish words. It modelled Finnish morphological competence, to facilitate identification of the most likely forms of a word within its context. Although the program could not select the correct form from context, the complexity of Finnish required sophisticated modelling to correctly determine the possible root form of a given word. As such, FINNMORF represented a significant contribution to computational linguistics.

KH Coder

KH Coder is a tool for quantitative content analysis and text mining that has been under continuous development since 2001. It was originally developed for Japanese text and now supports numerous other languages, including English, Italian and French. KH Coder also has computational linguistics applications.

ALGOL

ALGOL (Algorithmic Language) was a programming language developed in the mid 1950s and often discussed in relation to humanities research applications, such as concordances or computational linguistics.

CorpusExplorer
Software for corpus linguists and text/data mining enthusiasts. The CorpusExplorer combines over 50 interactive visualizations under a user-friendly interface. Routine tasks such as text acquisition, cleaning or tagging are completely automated. The simple interface supports the use in university teaching and leads users/students to fast and substantial results. The CorpusExplorer is open for many standards (XML, CSV, JSON, R, etc.) and also offers its own software development kit (SDK)
